It is with deep sadness that we share with you that Molly Lowry, wife of Woodlawn's former intern the Reverend Jerrod Lowry and current General Presbyter and Stated Clerk of the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina, passed away following a long struggle with complications from the Covid-19 virus. A memorial service celebrating Molly's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1416 Market St., Wilmington, NC 28401.

Alzheimer's Event-You are invited to participate in the Family and Friends Group "Walk to End Alzheimer's". The event was held today on the campus of the University of North Florida. 

Also, if you would like to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association, please contact Mrs. Pauline Davis at 768-8310.

YOUTH KICKBALL GAME-The youth will be having a kickball game and lunch with Riverside Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 3:00 5:30 p.m.. at Rice Field (Riverside Presbyterian Church). 

YOUTH COLLECTION-For the month of November the Woodlawn Youth will be collecting clean blankets, coats, and sweaters to be distributed to one of our local homeless organizations. They will be accepting drop-offs every Sunday at the Church, and Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Lem Turner Collision, 9545 Lem Turner Road. Thank you everyone in advance for your contributions during this upcoming Thanksgiving season, to be a blessing to those in need.


The Jacksonville City Council President Sam Newby has approved the presentation of the Resolution 2021-0765 Honoring & Commemorating the Life & Achievements of Civil Rights Leader Lloyd N. Pearson Jr. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber. This is open to the public. If members of our church would like to attend, parking is available in the parking deck at the corner of Main Street and Duval Street. There will be someone in the lobby to validate your parking.


This year, the Presbyterian Women are giving a grocery "Gift Card" in place of a Thanksgiving Basket to families in need. They are asking instead of food donations that cash/check donations are given to purchase grocery gift cards. You may mail your donation to the church by November 15th or include it in your offering with your envelope number and "Thanksgiving Donation" on the memo line. 

With your donations last year, the Presbyterian Women were able to give 32 families a Gift Card.

If you would like to refer a family in need, please call the church office at (904) 768-5905 Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Please provide a name, address, and phone number, for the family. The deadline for referrals is Monday, November 15th. Referrals will not be accepted after November 15th. The Gift Cards will be distributed on Sunday, November 21st, from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Please drive through the covered area of the Family Life Center. If the family you referred is unable to pick up the gift card, please be responsible for picking it up and delivering it to the family.
