THE SUNDAY SCHOOL’S ANNUAL PICNIC will be Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. here at Woodlawn. There will be a variety of competitive games, activities, sports events and good food for everyone. Invite your family and friends to participate.

DEAR WOODLAWN FAMILY: Thank you all so very much for all the cards, phone calls and words of encouragement shown to us in the death of our loved one, Murphy Lee Hardy. We will forever be grateful for the kindness shown to us during this difficult time.

THE WIDOWS/WIDOWERS DINNER sponsored by the Men’s Organization will be held July 14th, immediately after worship service in the Family Life Center.

ICARE: The financial drive for 2019 has begun. Woodlawn’s goal is $8,000.00 Each family is asked to contribute $200.00 or more if the Holy Spirit leads you. If you contributed less than $200.00, we ask that you consider increasing your contribution. Your donation is Tax Deductible. The collection dates are June 16th – July 7th. DID YOU KNOW . . .you should avoid being outside between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 when the sun and the heat are the strongest? If you cannot avoid being outdoors during those hours, then try to stay in shaded areas.

THE SENIORS AND RETIREES NEXT MEETING will be Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center. The hosts and hostesses for this meeting are Anthony Brannon, Louise Brannon, Sam and Norma Brown, Rev. Jesse and Myrna Perry and Jennie Sharpton. The Seniors and Retirees will not meet in July.

Past Worship Services and programs (Revivals, Black History, Women’s Day, Easter, Sunday School, Christmas, Funeral, etc.) are also available for purchase. SUNDAY SCHOOL – You are invited to attend Sunday school. Join us and experience great discussion, the exchange of ideas and wonderful fellowship. Give it some consideration. There is a class designed especially for your interest.

11:00 A.M. BIBLE STUDY CLASS – Seniors, Retirees, Church members and friends. It’s a new year with new commitments. Make a commitment to learn more about the scriptures. Join us every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon to study God’s Word. “The more we know, the more we grow”.

YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO DONATE FLOWERS to adorn the chancel area in recognition of special people and events. Forms are available in the vestibule for your convenience. The cost is $30.00 including delivery. Please indicate if you wish the flowers to be given to the sick.

ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS are held every 1st Thursday of each month.
